College Visits to DeSales
DeSales hosts as many colleges as
possible throughout the school year to make presentations to our
students. Many of these are held in the library at lunch time, 11:40
AM, and last about ½ hour. Fifth mod (12:14 PM) is another common start time. Parents and students of all levels are
welcome to attend; junior and senior students are strongly encouraged to attend.
Transcripts
Seniors receive one free official post-graduation transcript mailed to the address of their choice. For all other transcripts, please use the form available below and be sure to include the signature of the parent for students under 18 and of the student if the student is 18 or older.

EXPLORE Test: First in ACT series, January of 8th grade. Results delivered beginning in March, begin parent meetings with four-year plans for high school.
PSAT: A preliminary SAT, in October of freshman and junior years. (PSAT will be Wednesday, October 13, 2010.)
PLAN Test: Second in ACT series, October of sophomore year. Results delivered in February at Sophomore Parent Night along with plans for beginning the college process, individual meetings available.
PSAT/NMSQT: October of junior year. Most junior test-takers qualify to enter NMSQT Scholarship/Recognition contest, and for juniors who attended DeSales as freshmen, this is their second SAT pre-test at school.
ASVAB: Vocational and academic test provided free of charge by US Military, given to juniors in April, results delivered along with career exploratory presentation later in spring. Important to students considering military and/or ROTC options, useful for all students, and does not initiate contact from military.
