Our PRE K program is a readiness program for 4 and 5 year olds. This program is more structured than our other early learning environments. It provides all the necessary environmental components for each child to develop at their own pace yet encourages the growth that is needed to experience success. There are two classes. The morning class, PREK AM goes from 8:15-11:00 am. The afternoon class, PREK PM, is from 12:00-2:45. The classes are Monday through Friday. Sarah Jimenez is the teacher for these classes. She is a mom of three and an experienced licensed educator. She brings creativity and expertise to the classroom.
For our younger preschoolers, we offer PRE K JR. This program is for children not quite ready for the structure and readiness that PRE K offers. The age cut off for this group is flexible depending on the needs of your child and ability. It is Monday, Wednesday and Friday (8-11am). It is held at the ELC. This is so we can team up to provide all the resources, people and great space available to make it the best possible experience for your child. We limit the class sizes to 10-15. Leticia Dankel is our Lead Teacher. She is bilingual. She brings warmth and dedication to the early learner. She is a mother and Spanish teacher!
Our very youngest group is our PRESCHOOL at the Center. This program is for the littlest preschooler. Leticia Dankel is our Lead Teacher. This class caters to the early learner in that we are inspired by their movement and interests. Teacher Leti works her curriculum around their needs and interests. Each child is welcome and allowed to broaden their world in a safe manner. We realize that the transition for this age is much harder. It is a small class therefore the child's needs are recognized and met. This class meets Tuesday and Thursday from 8-11am.
Our childcare program is open all year round. Our school year hours are Monday – Friday from 7:00-5:30 p.m. Maria Rodriguez is our Lead Teacher for the childcare program. At the ELC we take our job as an extension of your love and warmth very seriously. Maria has over 13 years experience here at the Center. She is a mother, fantastic cook and active in her church! The success of this center is directly related to the professional, warm staff. Your child will be made part of our ELC family. If you have questions regarding the Childcare please call our Director, Laurel Mulkin at 525-9478.
Our After-school program serves the Assumption Grade school. We serve other school aged children but do not provide transportation. This program is held at the ELC and runs on the school schedule.
